Understanding Challenges

AIA's team needed to strengthen the stability and reliability of their platform for their end-users but lacked the time to focus on it. They were looking for a QA partner to evaluate their current testing process and execution of functional testing, test automation as well as performance testing on different internal projects of the company.

They turned to Abstracta for assistance, seeking to optimize their platform and thus reinforce their commitment to their clients.

Solutions and Activities

We helped AIA to organize and optimize its software testing process on different internal projects.

Our team led the testing efforts for our client's migration from their previous CRM provider to Salesforce. This included data validation during the migration between the databases, automated testing script generation, new features testing, creating test scenarios and cases, and more.

We got involved in testing during the development of a Web application that handled AIA’s members, website, and courses. We integrated into each sprint activity and sprint planning while expanding manual testing coverage to improve the development and delivery of stories.

To support these efforts, we also developed an end-to-end automation framework that integrated with Jenkins, including API and performance testing.

We built a team culture that enabled us to communicate effectively, favoring teamwork and synergy. We ensured everyone was on the same page toward reaching our goals and aligned on purpose, objectives, and expectations.

Results and Achievements

We drew the path for intense testing, always seeking to increase the quality of AIA’s products. We worked closely with their team and shared knowledge to conduct testing themselves with our support.

  • Implemented major releases with effective planning, resulting in low to zero impact.
  • Created 500+ test cases for different applications, providing comprehensive testing coverage.

  • Automated 25% of test cases and enabled automatic runs in three different environments, improving regression testing times.

  • Stakeholders and POs delivered stories on time and with the appropriate testing coverage, enabling the timely delivery of high-quality products.
  • Migrated legacy data to their new platform, ensuring data integrity and continuity throughout the transition.
  • Improved application usability, making it easier and more intuitive for end-users to generate reports.

This resulted in higher-quality products and greater confidence and satisfaction among end clients. On the whole, AIA's product credibility grew from the quality and optimization of release times.
